Above anything else, Riyo is a Cleaner with a strong sense of justice. Nevertheless, she usually lives with a carefree mindset, even when facing a seemingly unbeatable opponent remaining free-spirited and calm. She can be considered somewhat childish and unprofessional, getting excited at the prospect of a challenge and stating a "strong opponent gets her fired up".

Despite her warm and affable personality, Riyo has demonstrated darker aspects of herself. Before she became a Cleaner, she had been working as a hitman. She also becomes highly defensive when anyone brings up her past, particularly about her family.
